Fury
Howling it came,
Putting even the wolves to shame
I woke up from sleep startled
The power went off, rattled
Doors and windows shook in fright fearing it would bring them down with its might
The tree's merciful pleas were ignored
As it roared and tore them apart
After an hour, it relented
Its seething anger abated
Thankful I was as I went back into a slumber
Thy strength O' wind makes me wonder
